Scott Gallagher Certified Athletic Therapist, BSc HK, RKin, Dip SIM, CAT(C)

Athletic Therapist - Kinesiologist

Scott Gallagher is a Certified Athletic Therapist with over 20 years of clinical and field experience. Scott's early years as an Athletic Therapist saw him working with the athletes in organizations such as University of Guelph, University of Waterloo, Ryerson University, Conestoga College, Cambridge Supersonics Soccer Club, Montreal Express Lacrosse, Tri-City Outlaws Football, and Fergus Highland Rugby.

Scott regularly hones his high skills at elite athletic events like the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games, Canadian PGA Championships, World Junior & Canadian Figure Skating Championships, Jeux de la Francophonie, Canadian World Amateur Wrestling Trials, Canadian Racquetball Championships, and the Canadian Road Nationals Cycling Championships. A lifelong learner, Scott is continually improving and broadening his skill-set through courses and workshops. After his oldest son’s first concussion, Scott delved into the area of brain injury through sport and has been working with doctors in the area to provide baseline concussion testing, and explore ways to prevent and manage concussions as a way of ensuring the children he works with are able to stay healthy and active through their adult years.

Scott lives in Maryhill with his wife and two young sons. A volunteer firefighter, he is an avid sports enthusiast and athlete with a particular fondness for hockey, golf, skiing, soccer, and baseball. Highly competitive and active by nature, Scott injured his own knee several times resulting in an ACL replacement at the age of twenty-six. He knows first hand how devastating coping with an injury can be and works very hard to ensure his own patients get the level of care they need to safely get back into the game!
